Rachele Kanigel is a consultant, speaker and trainer in the areas of inclusive language and content and diversity, equity and inclusion in media industries. The editor of The Diversity Style Guide, and the companion book by the same name, she has created custom inclusive style guides for WebMD, Freddie Mac and Children’s National Hospital and has presented educational workshops on inclusive content for journalism, marketing and communications professionals.
Kanigel has spoken on inclusive language, journalism and journalism education in Japan, Bhutan, Paris, Canada and the U.S. and has given more than 75 presentations at professional meetings of the World Journalism Education Congress, Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication, Journalism & Women Symposium, Associated Collegiate Press, College Media Association, Journalism Association of Community Colleges and other organizations.
